10. Harvey Weinstein (Unsuccessfully) Lobbied To Cut The Torture Scene

Adding yet another poorly thought-out decision to his massive cachet, Miramax head Harvey Weinstein massively objected to the film's focal torture scene, insisting that it would have a negative effect on audience turnout and therefore cripple its commercial prospects.

Despite being the new kid on the block, Tarantino stood his ground and fought for the scene's inclusion, and seemingly exhibited enough gumption that Weinstein eventually backed down.

Needless to say, had Weinstein been more aggressive about it, fans would've been deprived of perhaps the film's most memorable scene. Boo.
