Things get worse when, in the Batcave, Robin tells Batman, "I want a car. Chicks dig the car" (a reference to the same line from the previous movie). An exasperated Batman can only say one thing: "This is why Superman works alone." It's meant to be funny but it's really just cringe-worthy, all the more so because Superman has frequently worked with others in both the comics and on-screen. Justice League, anyone?
