3 Ideas For Star Wars Stand Alone Movies

3. Zack Snyder€™s €˜Seven Samurai€™ Jedi Project€™

As the rumour mill keeps churning, word has reached us that Zack Snyder is hoping to develop a stand alone Jedi movie. In my opinion, this would be a fine first step for Disney, given that Episode 7 will be largely Jedi-less presumably. Having a stand alone Jedi story establishes what the new episodes are probably aiming to bring back into the fold without having to jump straight in within Episode 7. With a tight Seven Samurai inspired Jedi adventure, we don€™t really need to get to a new Jedi order until around Episode 9 (if this is even on the cards to happen at all). Additionally there€™s nothing stopping Disney from making this stand alone Jedi story include faces like Yoda, Mace Windu and even a Ewan McGregor Obi-Wan Kenobi. Hell, even throw Anakin in for good measure if need be. Highlight the Jedi in their prime, in a story set between Episodes II and III. Alternatively go back pre-Episode 1. Either way, this seems like a project that will make up for what€™s potentially missing in a post Return of the Jedi galaxy and just the right pitch to keep selling those lightsabers to the kiddies.
