Like so many of you out there reading this, when I invest in a story, especially one that requires multiple episodes, I like to see it to its conclusion. And the one thing most people can agree with is that it is most frustrating when filmmakers who have had years to plan these things out seemingly can't get it together to finish the story with a satisfying climax. And according to everyone (that is no exaggeration - literally just about everyone) who has seen this trilogy in its entirety, they all say the same thing. The Godfather: Part III was a convoluted mess of bad filmmaking and sub par acting that completely ruined the franchise and cast a shadow over its predecessors. The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull of the series, if you will. Now, people have said to just watch the first two and avoid the third. But as a film fanatic I, along with many others, simply can't do that. Call it being obsessive compulsive if you wish, but as previously stated, personally I have to see these things through to the end, no matter what. It would be like reading a book and not reading the final chapter - you just wouldn't do it. And since we've all been told the final payoff is one big letdown, anyway, why should the uninitiated even bother?
