30 Funniest Movie Bloopers

By Scott Fried /

13. Role Models

(at 3:33) Before Role Models, Paul Rudd and Elizabeth Banks co-starred in cult hit Wet Hot American Summer. In the final, bring-it-all-home-with-a-happy-ending scene in this raunchy comedy with a ton of heart, the two kiss €“ then make reference to their earlier film. Just like the rest of us, these two superstars haven't forgotten that classic

12. Grumpier Old Men

(at 0:00, 0:53, and 2:04) The "Grumpy Old Men" films helped introduce the comedic pairing of Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau to a new generation, but as funny as they were, it's the legendary Burgess Meredith who really shines in these outtakes from the second film. Meredith fully embraces his "dirty old man" character, imbuing it with wit and charm that leaves his co-workers howling.

11. The Lion King

(at 0:11, 1:06, 1:27, 2:24, and 3:05) Sure, it's a cartoon, so these aren't real outtakes, but the "bloopers" that accompanied The Lion King's 3D rerelease in 2011 are funny €“ especially the frequent cuts to James Earl Jones's Mufasa, as he works on his purr, growl, and roar. Thus far, a particularly inspiring (and humorous) thing.

10. Jackie Chan's First Strike

(starting at 0:10) Jackie Chan is one of the greatest martial arts actors of all time, but hey, Babe Ruth struck out 1,330 times. Chan's films famously contain blooper reels in the credits, showing the star's numerous unsuccessful attempts at completing his amazing stunts. As you might imagine, the ladder scene in First Strike was a particularly difficult one to get right

9. Silence Of The Lambs

Anthony Hopkins is one of the most celebrated actors of all time, and his role as Hannibal Lecter in Silence of the Lambs is perhaps his most acclaimed and famous. Apparently, though, it wasn't the only role he took on set - he also flexed his acting muscle with an impression of Sylvester Stallone as Rocky. He should probably stick to Lecter.
