High-flying publishing agent Margaret (Sandra Bullock) learns that her visa has expired (shes Canadian), and that shes likely going to be deported. To save her hide, she convinces her assistant Andrew (Ryan Reynolds) to marry her, the catch being that they will have to pose convincingly as a couple while U.S. immigration investigates them, or Margaret will be deported and Andrew may go to jail. In a seedy bar on the small island of Sitka, Alaska, a locally famous but past his prime erotic dancer Ramone (Oscar Nunez) treats the bride to be to a show she wont soon forget. Ramones entire sequence is quite hilarious, from the moment he pops up from behind an ugly makeshift curtain right up to when Betty White adamantly thrusts dollar bills into his g-string.
