Hype: The book - which follows a man's slow realisation that his idyllic life is a lie as his daughter commits an act of terrorism and his world unravels - is a bona-fide modern classic, and there's an importance to the story in the current political climate that is as irresistible as it is harrowing.

McGregor is an unknown quantity as a director, but he seems to be a good fit, and the rest of the cast (including Jennifer Connolly, Dakota Fanning and David Strathairn) are hugely talented. Expect Arlington Road style drama.
