Hugh Jackman's return to his musical roots, telling the story of circus legend PT Barnum.

Hype:

After La La Land gave the musical genre another shot in the arm last year, it's Jackman's turn to benefit from the positive PR with his opulent showcase of PT Barnum's rise to the top of the circus game.

He might have more of a reputation for playing Wolverine and macho leads, but Jackman started out in musical theatre (hence being so good in Le Miserables), and the blend of musical numbers and the easy spectacle of the circus world is a no-brainer.

It should be an excellent, ostentatious way to end the year.
