The next film from the mind behind In Bruges, starring the irrepressible Frances McDormand as a woman fighting against the police, who failed to solve the murder of her daughter.
Hype:
After directing In Bruges, Martin McDonagh hasn't done nearly enough (Seven Psychopaths wasn't bad, but it would have been nice to see more films with his name attached).
By the looks of the trailers, this is a return to those heady days when he was one of the industry's hottest, sharpest writer/directors and the 94% approval rating on RottenTomatoes after its appearance at Venice should buoy confidence too.
The cast is a great collection of actors who everyone should already know are excellent (and yet who somehow fly under the radar), with McDormand, Sam Rockwell, Woody Harrelson, Peter Dinklage and Caleb Landy Jones all catching the eye.
