After Max refuses to kill Blaster, Aunty insists that he be punished by way of "The Wheel", which determines his punishment to be exile. He's bound, placed on a horse, has a hilarious mask placed on his head and is sent out of town in a totally random direction. Though it's a horrible thing that's happened to Max, it's tough not to laugh at the ridiculousness of the comically oversized mask placed over his head, which pretty much cements George Miller's wonderfully idiosyncratic sense of humour.
