One of the coolest easter eggs in Fury Road which even long-time fans of the franchise could easily miss is that an actor from the original 1979 movie is returning for it. That's right, Hugh Keays-Byrne, who played the savage Toecutter in the original movie, is back again playing the antagonist, this time as a character called Immortan Joe. Though there's practically no chance of Toecutter and Joe being the same character, it's still a brilliant nod to the original film, one which due to the actor's relatively low-flying profile, won't be intrusive to the movie at all.
