Nortons Character: Lester Worm Burnham Why It Was Awesome: You might have immediately written Rounders off as a niche movie, aimed solely at Poker fans. And while its true, Poker is the dominant motif, the story delves much deeper into the characters than just Kings, Queens and Aces. As Matt Damons ever-present voice over indicates within; you play the player, not the cards. Norton gives a typically fantastic performance here, in a turn that, believe it or not, was inspired by old Bugs Bunny cartoons. Lester is wise-crackin and borderline obnoxious, but with his characteristic knack for duality, Norton somehow fills the guy with an infectious charm, all but forcing us to root for him regardless.
