1. The Wrong Box Forgive me for including my all-time favorite movie on this list but its definitely one I feel cannot and should not be remade. Behold the cast: John Mills, Ralph Richardson, Peter Cook, Dudley Moore, Peter Sellers, Tony Hancock and a young Michael Caine among others. Its the story of family members scheming and plotting against each other so they can inherit a large fortune. The timelessness of the premise may seem appealing to filmmakers but I dont think even the best of todays comic actors could recapture the magic that makes this film such a joy to watch. Its about as close to perfect as a comedy can get. So if anyone looking to ruin, sorry, remake a relatively obscure movie happens upon this article, please remember the following adage: Dont mess with near perfection.
