2. Mattel Hover Board. Back to the Future Part 2

Who didn't want one of these after seeing Back to the Future part 2? And you can forget your fancy, €œable to hover on water boards€ too. Marty€™s will do just fine. I don't know what it is about that specific board which is so iconic, but I want it bad.

The simplicity of the foot holder, the clashing pink and greens€ sure, this started off as a little girl's hover scooter, but I wouldn't want it any other way. There is something I have always loved about the 1980€™s visions of the future, and the style of this Hoverboard represents all the campy, outdated greatness of what the 1980€™s thought 2015 would be like.

Though I love all the gadgets reality has created for us in the millennium, if in 3 years time the world looks exactly like it does in this very cheesy, but wonderful vision of the future, I honestly wouldn't care. Even if we had to give up our precious, precious iPhones.

Sure, even if these did exist they wouldn't benefit our lives all that much: they can't go anywhere near as fast as a motorbike or a car and are in fact kind of slow and foot powered (unless of course pulled along by a steam train) and in reality if you suck at using a skateboard you'd probably be no better on a hover board either (and boy do I suck). But despite all of that, they are still one of the most wanted futuristic gadgets from the whole of film history.
