5 Iron Man Armors We'd Love To See On Film

3. The Iron Destroyer

First Appearance: Fear Itself #7 The Serpent's War occurred during the 2011 "Fear Itself" storyline, when Odin's brother The Serpent set his sights on Earth. Tony Stark took a trip to Asgard to seek backup from Odin, who sent him to the dwarves of Svartalfheim (one of the nine realms, which will soon make an appearance in Thor: The Dark World). The dwarves crafted weapons imbued with magical energy, and gave Tony's suit a few upgrades. They coated the armor in Uru, the same metal from which Thor's hammer was forged, and the suit was given magical enchantments from Odin himself. Due to the suit's physical resemblance to the Asgardian bodyguard, The Destroyer (as seen in Thor in 2011), Tony dubbed the suit the Iron Destroyer. The magical enhancements disappeared after Odin left Earth at the conclusion of the Serpent's War, and the Uru was taken from the suit, given back to the dwarves and melted back down. Seeing the suit on film might not be out of the question, now that the nine realms will be further explored in the Thor sequel; and more mystical-based characters, such as Doctor Strange, are on the horizon. If Tony could venture into space, why not make a trip to Asgard?
