5 Massive Events None Of Us Are Looking Forward Too (But Will Watch Anyway)

3. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Why We Didn€™t Ask For It Don€™t get me wrong, S.H.I.E.L.D. has been an excellent and integral element of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. They€™ve acted as a sort of connective tissue, the perfect means of bridging the different films. In fact, without S.H.I.E.L.D. there would have been no one to have brought the Avengers together in the first place. So, thanks, Director Fury and Co. But the great thing about S.H.I.E.L.D., and the key to their success is that they aren€™t the main attraction. They provide the setup, the context, for characters like Thor or Iron-Man or even the Hulk to do what they do best, and when you take those away, what you have left is essentially the CIA with a Helicarrier. Why We Might Tune In Anyways For one thing, it€™s been revealed that not only is Agent Phil Coulson not dead after becoming shish kabob courtesy of Loki in The Avengers, but he will also headline the series. That alone is enough to make a lot of us tune in, if only to find out how he survived. Also, there€™s always the hope that we€™ll get to see a cameo or two by some of Marvel€™s major players.
