5 Things That Can't Happen In Logan (And 5 That Can)
1. The Villains Win
The trope of basically every hero story is that in the end, the hero will win. Old Man Logan is one of those stories where this doesn't happen.
The heroes of the Marvel Universe lost. They lost so incredibly badly that the United States has been sectioned off into massive swaths of land that different villains control.
While Logan can't use most of the villains that own chunks of a country, the movie could still have the villains win. In the X-Men film series' canon, what would the world look like if bigotry against mutants was successful? It wouldn't be the same as supervillains running the country, but would be at least an interesting concept to explore. How do these characters react when even the idea of hope is gone?
