38. Alfred Molina - Doctor Octopus

The best performance in any Spider-Man movie to date - and, without any shadow of a doubt, the most faithful to the comic books - was Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus in Spider-Man 2.

Starting off as a genius, encouraging scientist and family man, he descended into madness and villainy and Molina nailed the entire complex transition brilliantly. He exceeded Willem Dafoe's performance as Norman Osborn and his performance only served to make those in the third Spider-Man movie seem even worse.
