M. Night Shyamalan hopes to rebound from the disappointment of Glass with a new original movie project which he quietly filmed late last year, Old.

Given that the film is inspired by the graphic novel Sandcastle, it's likely Shyamalan won't be swinging quite so hard to deliver a shocking plot twist, even though the still-noted secrecy surrounding the plot suggests it will be anything but a straight adaptation.

The cast includes Gael García Bernal, Eliza Scanlen, Thomasin McKenzie, Alex Wolff, Vicky Krieps, and Ken Leung, and is notable as Shyamalan's first movie shot outside of Philadelphia, having been filmed instead in the Dominican Republic.

It's a coin flip whether this is a good movie or not, but here's to hoping.
