Yes, Lana Wachowski is returning as writer-director alongside cast members Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, Jada Pinkett Smith, Lambert Wilson, and Daniel Bernhardt, but virtually no narrative particulars have been divulged.
Still, given the unsatisfying climax to the original trilogy, many are excited to see how the hit franchise is revived for a new generation.
New cast members include Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Neil Patrick Harris, Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff, and Priyanka Chopra.
Given the Wachowskis' recent blockbuster flops, hopefully this'll get them back on level footing, even if many fans remain miffed about the apparent absence of Morpheus himself, Laurence Fishburne.
