Status: Confirmed Due: April 28th 2017 Key Players:: All of the Guardians return - Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper - and James Gunn is in charge again. Karen Gillan, Benicio Del Toro and Michael Rooker are all also back in their supporting roles, while Pom Klementieff has been added. Whats It About: With the cast returning, and promises of further investigation into the Infinity Stones (the Collector still has one, remember) as well as the answer to Starlords paternity test theres a lot to be excited about. Why We Should Care: With an astonishing wealth of riches available to comic book movie fans, picking a winner in the excitement stakes might seem a little like choosing the best diamond, but theres undoubtedly a winner. Thanks to the disarming success of the first Guardians, built on James Gunns sci-fi fandom and commitment to a beautifully retro but brilliantly funny tone, a sequel was inevitable. And just as inevitable is the hype, which hopefully wont force the sequel off the road. With all of the components returning (aside from Ronan The Accuser), we should be set for a worthy follow up as long as Marvel dont pressurise Gunn too much into making a surrogate Planet Hulk.
