50 Movie Death Scenes That Left You TRAUMATISED

50. Zara Young - Jurassic World

A film like Jurassic World simply promises death and destruction. After all, we're talking about an island full of dinosaurs, and if the credits rolled without at least one character getting eaten by one of these monsters, you'd be pretty disappointed.

There have been numerous villains who have received their comeuppance at the hands of the likes of the Tyrannosaurus, the Velociraptors, and the Dilophosaurus, while there have even been others that were far from bad guys, like Eddie Carr (Richard Schiff) in The Lost World, who was ripped apart by two of the apex predators for the crime of being just a normal guy.

Arguably the most brutal Jurassic World death, however, happened to a character so minor that many may not have even recognised her name at the top of this entry. Zara Young (Katie McGrath) was Claire Dearing's (Bryce Dallas Howard) assistant, and she barely featured in the movie outside of looking after Zach and Gray (Nick Robinson and Ty Simkins) for a minute or two.

Part of the reason why her death was so traumatic was that she was such a minor character and couldn't have done less to deserve something like this. The other reason was that she was tossed around by the Pterosaurs before being eaten whole by the Mosasaurus, something that stood out as unnecessarily brutal amid the countless deaths caused by the Pterosaurs.

No one deserved a death like that, let alone the most unassuming character in the entire film.
