4. The Only Thing That Works In Batman V Superman Is... Batman?
While it's obviously great to hear that Ben Affleck's Batman is every bit as awesome as he looks in the trailers, it's also equally worrying that the Dark Knight is so far the only thing people are praising when talking about the movie. Still, that should probably be considered a minor miracle, especially as the decision to include Batman in what was then Man of Steel 2 was reportedly only made THREE days before the announcement. Dating all the way back to last December, one constant from test screenings and those who claim to have seen the movie is that Batman is the highlight. There's been no mention of Superman, Wonder Woman, Doomsday, or any other major character (though it was at one point said that Jesse Eisenberg is a solid Lex Luthor). So, does this make Batman v Superman a great Batman movie with a rubbish supporting cast? As with any reports from so-called test screenings, it's obviously best to take this with a pinch of salt for the time being. However, it could be telling that Warner Bros. are seemingly so keen to get The Batman up and running but don't appear to be making any effort to make Man of Steel 2 a reality. Based on the reaction to both this and his first movie, there's a chance that they've decided Superman is something of a lost cause.
