1. It Teases A Sequel...You Probably Won't Want

It won't be too much of a surprise to learn that the movie ends on an extremely direct tease for a third movie, which regardless of the film's box office performance, few are probably going to be much interested in.

Yes, there was a lot of initial enthusiasm for an Independence Day sequel, but the final product just really isn't that good, and doesn't suggest that another sequel in a few years in a similar vein would be either. It may happen, but it's honestly just hard to get excited about that prospect.
