7 Actors Who Were Pissed Off At Animated Parodies Of Themselves
7. Jennifer Lopez In South Park
Jennifer Lopez's parody in South Park is not exactly flattering. In the episode Fat Butt and Pancake Head, Cartman creates a hand-puppet that he calls Ms. Lopez in order to celebrate Latino influence in the arts. And of course, Cartman's puppet is an offensive Latino stereotype.
After Cartman wins first place, he decides to record a music video using Ms. Lopez. It goes on to be a hit and the real Lopez is fired from the record company.
It gets more offensive as Ben Affleck, who was Lopez's husband at the time, falls in love with the puppet and even makes love to it. It is fair to say that the real Jennifer Lopez wasn't impressed.
Interestingly, it was the parody song recorded by Cartman that annoyed her the most. So much so that it was reported that anyone caught singing it was to be removed from her movie sets. Staggeringly, despite all the other aspects of the mockery, she held on to the silly song.
And of course, knowing that Lopez hated the animated portrayal of her, the creators brought the puppet back. Multiple times.
