Though she hasn't starred in a critically acclaimed film since 1998's Antz, her prior performances in Selena (for which she earned a Golden Globes nomination) and Out of Sight suggested she'd have one of the more successful and acclaimed careers of any musician-turned-actor.
Sadly that wasn't to be the case, for while she's turned out a new movie every year or two, it's typically a lame romantic comedy or trashy erotic thriller, and that's without counting those paycheck voiceover roles in the Ice Age franchise.
Her earlier acting roles proved she had a ton of charisma to match her beauty, but she opted to coast on lazy garbage instead.
