Last year's Avengers movie grossed over $1.5 billion worldwide, epitomising just how popular these movies are and, as a result, comic book movies are being churned out on an almost monthly basis. New ideas are always on the cards, but reboots are just as popular. Superman, Batman, Hulk and Spider-Man are just a few of the popular examples of comic book movie franchises that have started from scratch after already having box office success.
