7 Star Wars Actors Who Slammed The Franchise
7. Anthony Daniels
Anthony Daniels has been associated with the Star Wars franchise from the very beginning, and thanks to playing one of the most important droids in the galaxy, he's been in every movie, which includes a role as Tak in Solo: A Star Wars Story, though his other appearances were as C-3PO, which is a role he's played in dozens of projects over the years.
It's well known that he and his closest co-star, Kenny Baker, hated one another, but it seems unlikely someone like Daniels would trash on the franchise in any way. If you look at his IMDb page, it's clear the vast majority of his career was built on Lucas' franchise, but even he has spoken out against Star Wars:
"Ah, the prequels. I turned one on the other night... The effects are clever but pointless. The skill is there, but so what? Coldness, that’s the word. Bleakness, even.”
While he isn't the only person who worked on the movies to comment about the overuse of special effects when the prequel movies came out, he's probably one of the most notable actors who worked on the series to say something like that. Calling it cold and bleak isn't the best compliment he could have given his boss either, but there isn't anyone else who can voice that droid as Daniels can.
