8 Great Characters Marvel Movies Have Completely Screwed Up

If Phase 3 screws up this many characters, DC may be our only hope.

Since the release of Iron Man in 2008, Marvel Studios has brought a lot of great characters to the big screen, often making them even better and more interesting than their comic book counterparts. Inevitably, they don't always get it right though, and there are some heroes and villains who even the great Kevin Feige has completely f*cked up. While the movie versions of some of those listed here have admittedly worked better than others (or in rare instances improved as time has gone along), the fact is that Marvel never handled them anywhere near as well as they could or should have. That's infuriating too, especially as many had the potential to be among the greatest characters the Marvel Cinematic Universe has to offer. Instead, they've either been forgotten or handled so poorly that the chances of seeing them get another chance are somewhere between slim and none. Considering the fact that they've done so many great things over the years, it's easy to forget that Marvel Studios isn't perfect, but this look at their greatest failures definitely serves as a reminder of that and might just change every big of goodwill you have towards them. Too harsh? Well, I would argue that screwing up comic book characters as great as these is downright unforgivable...
