Steven Soderbergh is a very successful man, despite having a name that could very easily get him confused with Steven Spielberg.

The Academy Award winning director of Traffic, Logan Lucky, and the rebooted Ocean's series usually ranks pretty highly when discussing popular directors of the modern age. So imagine how excited his fans were when it was announced that he'd shot a film entirely in secret.

Unsane stars Claire Foy as a woman who has to leave her home city to avoid a stalker. She finds herself committed to a mental hospital and, once inside, she realises that the people working there aren't out to help her at all.

Also starring Joshua Temple, Juno Leonard, and Matt Damon, Unsane was very well-received amongst viewers. They praised the quality of the acting, the depth of the story, and the cinematography - which is mad considering the entire thing was shot on an iPhone 7 Plus.

This was a big risk for Soderbergh, who knew that any marketing surrounding a new release of his was sure to be successful. But the film made $14.3 million on a $1.5 million budget, so well done him.
