Coming away with the Academy Award for Best Actor for his gripping work as the Queen frontman in Bohemian Rhapsody, there's absolutely no denying just how masterfully Rami Malek stepped into the shoes of Freddie Mercury during the 2018 musical biopic.

The divisive film itself may not be everyone's cup of tea, but the way Malek utterly immersed himself in Freddie's way of walking, talking, and commanding a stage during the iconic Live Aid sequence in particular was enough to guarantee his name would end up on the golden statue that year.
