8. Even Piell

When it comes to pointy-eared Force-sensitive beings, the galaxy far, far away definitely has you covered.

Along with the likes of Yoda, Yaddle, and Grogu all flying the flag for their still unnamed little green species on the big and small screen, there was also another wonderfully strange alien Force-wielder present in the background throughout George Lucas' prequel trilogy.

Said Lannick Jedi Master went by the name of Even Piell and was played by Michaela Cottrell in the films. And it wasn't long before those who spotted the grumpy-looking Jedi Council member began dreaming up a backstory for this background Jedi.

Many felt that Piell could actually be related to the mighty Yoda as the pair definitely looked somewhat alike when stood side-by-side during the closing stages of Episode I - The Phantom Menace. But this theory ultimately being debunked - Piell was revealed as a Lannick, Yoda is, well, who the hell knows - still didn't stop fans from wanting to know more about the Jedi Master.

So, it was only a matter of time before Piell started popping up in Legends material and eventually earned himself a meatier role in Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

In that animated series, Blair Bess voiced the blunt and tough Jedi warrior as the show eventually depicted the events that led to his demise in the titular battles.

And if you needed another reminder of how popular this background Jedi ultimately became, 2021 actually saw someone pay almost $2,000 for Cottrell's hairpiece in The Phantom Menace.
