8. It's More Highly Anticipated

Civil War was released in 2006, and when Captain America and Iron Man crossed words in The Avengers six years later, fans were immediately fantasising about them actually coming to blows in an adaptation of Mark Millar and Steve McNiven's comic book series. 

There's no denying, then, that Captain America: Civil War is a movie which fans are looking forward to. But Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice has been in the works for a much longer time. Numerous attempts have been made to make bring it to the screen, and those failed on so many occasions that the two iconic DC superheroes sharing the screen appeared to become one of those things which would simply never happen.

That why the Comic-Con announcement back in 2013 was so huge, and the sheer level of anticipation surrounding it is going to have a huge impact on the box office.

Even those who don't read comics can appreciate how significant Batman and Superman appearing in the same movie is, while the fact that they're going to fight obviously ups the curiosity factor in a major way. 

Moviegoers have seen The Avengers plenty of times (and they've seen them fight each other more than once), so the excitement surrounding Dawn Of Justice will definitely give it the edge over Civil War.
