8 Reasons Deadpool Lives Up To The Hype (And 6 It Doesn't)

3. Colossus Finally Gets His Due

Colossus has long been a character that most X-Men fans have wanted to see get a prolonged treatment ever since he started making brief appearances in the earlier X-Men movies over 15 years ago. Though the character appeared recently in X-Men: Days Of Future Past, he still got a fairly meager supporting part, and so it's a pleasure to report that in Deadpool the giant metal guy finally gets a meaty part that does his character justice. For one, the new design looks awesome. Secondly, the voice is great: a stereotypical-sounding Russian accent but acted with earnestness and good humour that fans expect from the character. He's also totally bada** during several action sequences, and establishes himself as a superb ally to the title character. He certainly gets a more memorable innings here than Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and will hopefully show up again in the recently-confirmed Deadpool sequel (not to mention future X-Men movies).
