Though it seemed like Hardy's TV days were behind him after the likes of Lawless and The Dark Knight Rises made him one of the most in-demand actors of his generation, a pivotal role in Peaky Blinders Season 2 last year put paid to that idea. Having struck up a bond with Blinders creator Steven Knight on Knight's sophomore feature, Locke, Hardy put in an appearance as gangster Alfie Solomons in the BBC's faux-western crime saga in 2014. As Season 3 is currently filming with Hardy back among the cast, fans should expect the actor back on the small-screen in autumn of this year, only adding to one hell of a packed schedule. If they find the time, there might also be some activity this year on another small screen collab of Hardy and Knight's: Taboo, a project announced by Knight last year, with Hardy in the lead as a 19th-century adventurer. It's currently in development, but the rate at which Knight and Hardy work together (they shot Locke in just a week) could see this going before cameras late this year.
