8 Totally Bizarre Characters For Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2

4. Major Victory

Let€™s be honest, who wouldn€™t want to see the Guardians€™ faces when somebody introduces themselves as €˜Major Victory? That€™d almost be as good as when Peter Quill tries to make the name €˜Star-Lord€™ a thing in the first film. Introducing a comic-book faithful version of Major Victory would probably be a bit tricky for Marvel, as he€™s technically from an alternate reality, Earth 691 (the core MU takes place around Earth 616). He has joined the current Guardians of the Galaxy in the comics though, even saving Star-Lord€™s life a couple of time. Introducing Major Victory and the possibility of alternate realities would certainly be a bold step, but as long as it€™s kept contained in the context of the story then the off the wall GOTG series would be the perfect place to make that leap. It€™s a franchise that was built on a gamble after all. Plus Victory uses Captain America€™s shield from his version of Earth, and as an 80s Earth child, Quill would surely get a kick out of seeing that in action.
