Sometimes, despite being fantastically crafted and understandably well loved by fans and critics, there are times when horror movies do not quite hit the mark with their endings.

Whether that be because of weak storylines, bad acting, or just straight up a lack of effort to finish the movie properly, there is simply no denying that these films endings were funny when they completely were not supposed to be.

This list will look at some all-time favourites as well as some newer, less loved movies that definitely should have never left the pitch room. Put on your critical cap and see if you agree with these movie-misses!

8. Laura-Louise's Tongue - "Rosemary's Baby"

Another classic movie that should be seen by all cinemagoers, Rosemary's Baby is the perfect example of a slow-burning horror/thriller that relies more on the inference of what is unfolding rather than gory visuals.

Rosemary and her husband Guy move to a newly renovated apartment building in New York City and Guy quickly befriends their neighbours the Castevets. Several instances of Rosemary not trusting the Castevets' is shown, as strange things begin happening around her such as her husband's acting career suddenly taking off, her friend falling into a coma, and unsettling dreams.

Soon after, Rosemary is revealed to be pregnant, which only further increases the interest of the Castevets in her health. Once finally giving birth, Rosemary discovers that the Castevets' are Satanists, and have taken her baby as he is the 'son of Satan'.

This reveal was fantastically innovative for its time, but some of the acting of the minor roles seemed to undo this brilliant piece of cinema. As seen above, the character of Laura-Louise is strangely shown to stick out her tongue at Rosemary during what should have been a serious and tension-building moment. This creates a very odd piece of comedy in a place where comedy simply did not belong! Damn you, Laura-Louise!
