I've never been a huge fan of The Flash; his super-power isn't all that great (he can run really, really fast), and it's hard to see how that's an impressive enough power to build a whole movie around. He would be perfectly suited to a smaller role in the Justice League movie, but a 2-hour film about a guy who can move fast and heal himself faster than most people? It doesn't really hook me, and that's probably why a film hasn't yet materialised. David Goyer took a crack at it a few years back, positing an edgy, dark tone for the film, though studio executives balked at the notion and Goyer ended up leaving the project. The scribes for Green Lantern were attached to write it at one stage - and we all know how well that project went... - so you'll have to excuse me if I'm not too enthused about the people making decisions about this film. Like Aquaman, it's hard to see this taking off before a JLA film, and in the event that it does well, then maybe The Flash might come out. Thankfully, it mostly seems to be a lot of talk and no action so far.
