2. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

Jurassic World was a mostly fan-pleasing sequel to the 1993 dino classic Jurassic Park. For all of its flaws, it managed to capture the whimsy of the original and succeeded where its other follow-ups have failed.

Since it made a boatload of money too, another sequel was kicked into development with the Transformers-esque subtitle of Fallen Kingdom, but don't let that put you off.

All of the right people are involved, with Jurassic World helmer Colin Trevorrow having written the story and A Monster Calls filmmaker J. A. Bayona directing.

Returning cast members include Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, and best of all, life has found a way to have Jeff Goldblum reprise his role as Ian Malcolm from the original Jurassic Park and The Lost World.

The storyline for Fallen Kingdom remains under wraps, but since its predecessor reawakened dino mania in Hollywood, expect it to land with a similarly seismic impact as The Last Jedi.
