8 Villains That Need To Appear In Batfleck's Arkham Asylum Movie

8. Clayface

Clayface has had a tremendously convoluted backstory in the comics, with more than 4 characters taking on the mantle at different points in time. Like with many other characters on this list, Bruce Timm and Paul Dini did a masterful job in the Batman Animated Series of streamlining the multiple origin stories into one tragic and flawed tale.

Matt Hagen is an big time actor who becomes dejected after suffering severe facial injuries in a car crash, losing his career as a leading man. In a moment of desperation, he agrees to trial a drug that may give back him his good looks and career.

You can probably see where this is going - it transforms him into a monster and Hagen develops an addiction for the substance that allows his to shape shift. This forces him to commit crimes utilising his new ability to shape shift. He lives in the permanent fear of losing his access to the drug - without it he will lose his shape and die.

Whilst an Arhkam movie wouldn't necessarily allow for his backstory to be told, Clayface's appearance and power set would provide a unique challenge for the Dark Knight. As a shapeshifter not only can he change his form to physically intimidate Batman, he can transform his appearance to match that of near enough anyone and anything.

This would provide a cerebral challenge, even for the worlds greatest detective, tormenting Batman as he traverses the claustrophobic Arkham Asylum.
