It's been nearly eight years since Nick Fury showed up at the end of Iron Man to tell Tony Stark about the Avengers Initiative, and later this month, Warner Bros. finally launches a Cinematic Universe based around their DC Comics properties. That's something which is obviously long overdue, and if Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and the movies set to follow it succeed, then the genre is about to be forever altered. We are after all talking about the creation of a whole new universe inhabited by some of the world's most iconic heroes and villains, and that alone is a pretty major game changer. However, there are a lot of even more significant ways the DC Films Universe could shake things up. From Warner Bros.' very different approach to a "shared" universe to the impact the success of their adaptations may have on the actions of rival studios, Batman v Superman is either going to open the door to a new approach to how these movies made are or will play a role in bringing about the so-called superhero fatigue so many people seem to think is just around the corner. However you look at it, nothing will be the same after March 25th, and these are the biggest ways the DC Films Universe could and more than likely WILL change this genre as we know it.
