9 Biggest Star Wars 7 Rumours Right Now

5. Who Has The Millenium Falcon

Right, so Han and Chewie are safely ensconced in a huge warship with, like, laser cannons and a much less temperamental hyperdrive. Good for them. Excuse us for getting all nostalgic - in a piece on Star Wars? Never! - but we're kinda worried about the fate of the Millenium Falcon. The old girl was never in good shape during the original trilogy, and considering these new films are supposed to be set a good thirty years later, we don't imagine it's going to look a whole lot better. In fact on-set photos that appeared online a month or two ago showed the Falcon under construction, leading eager beavers to assume it was in a state of disrepair. Or the set designers just hadn't finished it yet. Either or. At least we got confirmation that the iconic ship would still be putting in an appearance in Star Wars Episode VII, even if it wasn't with the original crew manning the controls. We've heard tell that it'll be Inside Llewyn Davis and Drive star Oscar Isaac manning the Falcon in the new movies, furthering speculation that he'll be filling that lovable scamp role Han Solo probably had to vacate as soon as he abandoned his life of crime and settled down with Princess Leia. Daisy Ridley and John Boyega's characters will find Han and Chewbacca on the Super Star Destroyer instead of the Falcon (allegedly) because Isaac will have it instead. Sources claim that the young actor will be more of a cross between Han and Lando Calrissian - wait, is Billy Dee Williams not gonna be in this film? What else has he got going on? - and that his part was expanded as a result of Harrison Ford's on-set injury, in order to keep the release date of December 18, 2015.
