9. Logan: The Other X-Men Films Only Happened In Comics

Logan might be the best superhero film 20th Century Fox has ever made, but it blew X-Men movie continuity out of the water.

There is, however, a way it can be enjoyed in sync with all of the other instalments, and it's connected to those comics X-23 seems to enjoy so much.

Wolverine is dismissive of these strange, in-movie comics and one fan theory might explain why. It claims many of the previous X-films didn't really happen - they're actually comic book stories within the Logan universe.

Logan says the books are at odds with his personal story, but so are the previous X-Men films, which are full of plotholes, disjointed timelines and duplicate characters.

So, if the original X-Men trilogy only happened in literature within the world of Logan, the fans can conveniently overlook all of the above when getting their claws into James Mangold's masterpiece.
