9 Marvel Movie Plots That DC Should Totally Rip Off

2. Suicide Squad - Guardians Of The Galaxy

The Basic Premise: A ragtag group of imprisoned criminals assembles to take down a greater evil. Though morally flawed, we come to realize that these characters are willing to put aside personal gain to protect people as they fight to take down a manic force of nature. How DC Could Make It Better: Arguably what made Guardians Of The Galaxy so successful was its unique voice. From the music to the humour, it was far from a standard superhero film and audiences loved that. If Suicide Squad is to be a hit, it€™s going to need to capture that same unique quality, albeit with a different tone. Judging by the trailer and director David Ayer€™s track record, we can expect a much darker film than Guardians. But Suicide Squad can€™t just be dark for the sake of being dark, if it wants to elevate this premise, it needs to make this darkness a central part of its identity. That could mean some seriously irredeemable main characters, bone-crushing action or a lived-in setting. And considering that the villain of Guardians was one of its biggest letdowns, a disturbingly realistic Joker could make their struggle together all the more meaningful.
