9 Movie Spoilers We Didn’t Know Last Week (March 2nd)

Black Panther isn't #TeamIronMan after all...

By Jack Pooley /

Considering how much of the past week's online movie discussion has revolved around whether or not Leonardo DiCaprio would win an Oscar and kill a long-standing Internet meme (spoiler: he did), it'd be easy to have missed some of the week's big movie stories. We learned a bunch of new information about Captain America: Civil War, upcoming sequels, spin-offs and reboots got their due (whether we asked for them or not), and Hollywood suggests that it may be making the "remake of a remake" the next big filmmaking trend. From the awesome news to the weird news and those revelations we're just not at all sure about yet, here are 11 movie spoilers we didn't know last week...

9. Pepper Potts Will Actually Appear In Captain America: Civil War

Though Gwyneth Paltrow herself stated in prior interviews that she hadn't been contacted to appear in Captain America: Civil War, it turns out that she became a last-minute addition to the movie during January re-shoots. Tony Stark's partner Pepper Potts was last seen in Iron Man 3 way back in 2013, so it's safe to say that she's been long overdue an appearance, especially as she's one of the few love interests in the MCU who actually feels like she matters and has had a significant presence. Given that she only showed up in re-shoots, it's extremely likely that Pepper will only appear in the movie for a small cameo, probably to try and dissuade Tony from fighting Cap, and this'll probably be the last time we see her until 2018's Avengers: Infinity War.
