9 Ridiculous Movies With Multiple Plot Twists
9. Saw 2
Truthfully, any of the Saw movies could neatly slot into this list without much question about it, since they're built on the premise of being twisted from the ground up when it comes to subject matter and plot alike. Saw 2 in particular had something to prove when it came out however, building on Saw's legacy of THAT final reveal with something bigger, badder, and better all round - sprinkling over a handful of twists to keep audiences in the dark.
The best part of the Saw series is that these twists are always well telegraphed, with Jigsaw often straight up revealing to his victims exactly what he intends to happen in very plain words that they underestimate. That's exactly the case with this title, dropping the line that Detective Matthews's son is in a 'safe place' long before the team realises he's literally in... a safe.
We also get the reveal that players in Jigsaw's game aren't all new and that there's a big old dual timeline going on, with plenty mind f*cks implemented on the way to the break-neck left turn into Jigsaw's winning move. Saw 2 might not be remembered as the best in the franchise, but it's definitely up there for its devilishly winding narrative.
