Method actors are sometimes criticised for taking the technique a little too far, and while Margot Robbie isn't one (as far as anyone knows) she certainly acted like one in a scene for The Wolf Of Wall Street. In one of the numerous heated arguments that she gets into with her on-screen husband in the film, Robbie got a little too lost in the role and gave DiCaprio a pretty powerful slap across the chops. Robbie stated in interviews around the time of the film's release that she was only supposed to lightly strike DiCaprio across the face during one such scene, but instead "got lost in the moment" and gave the slap quite a bit of oompf. DiCaprio was suitably stunned after the incident and reacted by bursting out laughing at the sheer unexpectedness of the slap. Perhaps it's a testament to just how intolerable the real Jordon Belfort was in his younger years. That, or Robbie is just that dedicated to putting on a believable performance.
