9. Flatliners

Let's face it; nobody asked for another Flatliners movie.

Kiefer Sutherland and his team have already proved the mysteries of the afterlife are not for meddling with, but Niels Arden Oplev obviously didn't get the memo.

The biggest problem with the new Flatliners is that nobody knows what the hell it is. It was originally touted as a remake and later a reboot, and now a sequel of sorts with Sutherland reprising his role.

In truth, Flatliners is more likely to be one of those reboots masquerading as a sequel. They can work sometimes - Jurassic World technically qualifies as one - but the confusion regarding the nature of Oplev's sci-fi revival won't help its cause.

Expect this one to go beep, beep, beeeeeeeep at the box office.
