In the film Brainscan, Edward Furlong learns that its all fun and games until someone commits brutal murder. Hes your average traumatized teenage recluse who unwittingly plays a video game haunted by an evil-ish presents that turns his fantasy animated killing into real life bloody killing. In terms of exploring video games as new territory ripe for haunting, the fear simply isnt installed correctly. Its another case of terrorizing new technologies before theyve had time to settle. In addition to this, the Freddy-like jokester villain doesnt leave you much to be fearful of. He has a great design and charisma to boot, but not the menace of Freddy.
