A Nightmare On Elm Street: Freddy's 10 Most Creative Kills
10. Turning Up The Volume - Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare
Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare is not only the worst movie in the series, but it is also genuinely one of the worst horror movies ever released. It does, however, feature one kill where the writers must have injected all of their creativity into.
Carlos was the first victim of the movie and was introduced as one of Maggie's patients in the film. He's also shown to be deaf, something that gets horribly exploited by Freddy when he falls asleep.
The kill starts off with Freddy sticking a long cotton bud through Carlos' head, before cutting out his hearing aid, killing the sound from the movie in a nice editing move. Freddy gives Carlos his hearing aid back, but it quickly snaps itself onto him, amplifying his hearing to the point of torture.
Freddy's Dead is definitely the point in which the Nightmare series hit its most slapstick, but Carlos' death manages to find a decent balance, with Freddy playing to the audience with a cheesy grin and an exaggerated performance whilst dropping various objects.
Freddy then starts scraping his fingerknives against a blackboard, causing Carlos' nose and ear to bleed, before his entire head explodes.
